Delete Your TrueTaxi Account

Option 1: delete in the app (recommended)

If you can still sign in to the TrueTaxi Driver app, this is the fastest way to delete your account and data:

  1. Open the TrueTaxi Driver app and sign in.
  2. Make sure you are off duty and not on an active trip. Deletion is blocked while you are online or mid-trip, so that trip records stay consistent.
  3. Go to Account.
  4. Tap your name card to open Account information, then scroll to the bottom.
  5. Tap Delete account (shown in red).
  6. Type DELETE exactly as shown to confirm, then tap the confirm button.

This permanently deletes your profile, uploaded documents (NRC, driving licence, face photo) and encrypted sensitive fields, and you can no longer sign in with that account. Trip records that reference your account are anonymised rather than deleted, so that historical revenue and audit records remain accurate. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Option 2: request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in, for example because you lost your phone, you can ask us to delete your account by email:

  • Write to support@gotruetaxi.com from the email address or phone number registered to your driver account.
  • Use the subject line Account deletion request.
  • Include the phone number registered to your account, so that we can find it.

We verify your identity before deleting anything, for example by calling you back on the registered phone number. We complete the deletion within 30 days of receiving your request and confirm to you when it is done.

What gets deleted

  • Your driver profile (name, contact details, date of birth, gender, address, emergency contact)
  • Your NRC and driving licence numbers
  • Your uploaded documents and face photo
  • Your ability to sign in to this account

Trip records that reference your driver account are anonymised, not deleted, for our revenue and audit records. No personally identifying driver information is kept in them.

Riders

Riders do not need an app account to take a ride. If you would like us to delete the ride records we hold about you (for example your phone number and trip details), email support@gotruetaxi.com with the subject “Account deletion request” and the phone number you used. We may need to keep some records where partners or the law require record-keeping, and we will tell you if that applies. See also the support page.
